Humanity: the quality of having the feelings proper to man.
Democracy: a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people.
Our forefathers wanted to escape the ironhanded rule of England, so they left behind a society of closed minded thinkers. A democracy of open minded individuals, allowed to think freely and speak openly was then created.
Wake up citizens and read the definitions on the screen! You can’t keep starting your country all over again ...you’ve slept for too long. It’s your country, stand up for yourselves. Most corporations, government, and religious organizations, will write, say, and do whatever they want, to get money, customers, support, or members. If you truly care about being a better human you have to listen close to what you hear and read, think for yourself, and respond from your heart. It is so very sad to see free people in a democracy, letting themselves be controlled.
My Blogs will be honest, which should be the criteria for any communication. My topics will involve the abilities and capabilities of the human spirit. They will include the positives and negatives of being a human in the United States of America. It’s so depressing to hear ignorant people “boo” Simon Cowle’s remarks on American Idol, or to watch someone change the channel away from comedian/commentator Bill Maher. Most people in this country have been lied to about everything for so long, they are actually afraid to hear, read or speak the truth. Grow up adult humans of America, you have a country to run, being insecure and defensive looks very childish on you. It’s also quite pitiful, if you are one to be mesmerized by power, greed, and envy ...get over yourself. Making money is not a job, buying things is not a life, a job is doing something you like and are good at, a life is enjoying your job and doing it well. The proper job will bring self worth and praise from others, while creating the emotional support to be a good citizen, friend and parent. If your life is built on stability, as you grow, your happiness will bring the money you need. Be open minded. Thank you for your time. © 2009 Rick Patton
