A BIOGRAPHY
The first 12 years of his life were spent in Florida and Puerto Rico. The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico gave Rick an opportunity to not only learn Spanish, but to understand people that were from a different culture than his.
In High School, Rick started experimenting more with art, he enjoyed drawing the most. High School also brought him “Class Clown” recognition and a “Most Witty” vote from his peers; this opened the door to his comedy career.
I suppose his destiny was shaped even more when the President of the Jr. College Rick was attending, called him into his office. More confused than scared, he stood there as he was handed an application to Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey Clown College
...it seemed on that day, Rick did learn something.
While finishing up his studies at the University of Georgia Graphic Design School, Rick’s “comedy” was singled out. Following a Comedy Competition inspiration came from a full page stage photo and newspaper article with the heading “From two dozen hopefuls-some pearls emerge.
After school, Boston (at the time) seemed to be the fertile “Open Mic” ground Rick needed to grow as an entertainer. When he walked into an agency for the first time in Boston, his destiny was revealed; while waiting to talk to his first talent agent about an acting class, he was cast for a National Toyota Commercial! This was completely unexpected, but welcomed, and a nice start.
Rick began touring the country with his comedy, entertaining audiences in clubs, colleges, casinos, concerts, corporate shows, conventions, and charities ...after about 16 years in comedy Rick had entertained in 227 cities in 43 states.
His performing career had taken him to Chicago, this is where he began concentrating on building his resume. 10 years later, armed with a substantial list of accomplishments in comedy, acting, marketing, communications, and advertising, Rick moved to Los Angeles to put all his irons in the fire, this included his art, photography, and writings.
Rick’s fire is burning even stronger than in Boston and Chicago, The sky is truly the limit for this versatile individual.
